Yooperlites are Syenites rich in fluorescent Sodalite, first discovered and named on Lake Superior beaches in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, USA.
Due to the fluorescent Sodalite in the Yooperlites, the UV Torch included in this kit makes it glow in the dark for extremely awesome geology science!
Plus the carved and polished shape of the Oloid is a uniquely sculptural form. It is created by the intersection of two congruent circles, placed perpendicular to one another and with the centre of each intersected by the circumference of the other.
So when you roll this amazing fluorescent rock down a smooth, slightly inclined surface and you will see the fun of its meandering movement.
