About the Numbat
Numbats are small marsupials, which feed almost solely on termites. Their body is covered in reddish-brown fur, with white bands running across their back. Numbats inhabit woodlands in the south-west of Western Australia, the only state in which they are found in the wild.
This small marsupial weighs between 450 and 700 grams when fully grown. Adult numbats measure from 20 to 27 cm in length and their busy tails are approximately 17 cm long.
