About the Brushtail Possum
Tarsipes rostratus. Found in Australia and New Guinea. Range size from 12-120 c, including the tail. Tiny marsupial w/c feeds at night on nectar and pollen. Has a long pointed snout and brush-tipped tongue. The newborn young of a honey possum are the smallest of all the mammals weighing less than 5 milligrams each. The brushtail possum has a lifespan of 1-2 years in the wild.
