We offer a range of educational toys that assist in the development of fine motor skills from infants to school aged children. Examples of activities that build fine motor skills include lacing and threading, stacking and balancing, puzzles or building with blocks.
Opposed to Gross Motor Skills that use the large muscles in arms, legs and torso, Fine Motor Skills involve movement of the smaller muscle groups in a child's hands, fingers, and wrists. Dexterity and strength also play an important factor in building fine motor skills. From young children's pincer grip to feed themselves right through to a pre-schooler's pencil grip and writing skills, fine motor skills develop and evolve over time and are an essential life skill.
